Join the waitlist and I’ll reach out as soon as my client calendar opens up, which happens every 3-4 months.

Starting a manuscript is the easy part.
But finishing it can be a struggle.
I can help you get there.
Sign up now to get on my waitlist!

Are you interested in private book coaching or a manuscript evaluation? I work with women’s fiction, upmarket and book club fiction writers to transform their fledgling ideas and messy manuscripts into engaging stories. My booking calendar opens up 3-4 times a year so I can immerse myself in each and every client’s book.

Here’s how the waitlist works…

  1. Think of signing up for the waitlist like taking a number at the deli counter.
I would say DMV, but this is so much better. When your number is called, I don’t hand you a ham sandwich or make you take an exam. Instead I invite you to talk about your book.

  2. How long will you have to wait?
I’m currently booking clients 3 to 6 months in advance depending on the service, and my calendar usually fills quickly. When you sign up for the waitlist, you’ll receive a confirmation with the next time my calendar is opening and when I'll be booking services.

  3. First come, first served.
Once your number is called, I’ll reach out to get a little more info about you and your book, and to schedule a free onboarding  call. On that call, you’ll have the opportunity to share about your needs, and I’ll share a little mini coaching and provide an overview of my methodology. We’ll also ensure we’re a good fit.

  4. Spots occasionally open up early. (Or jump the line with a VIP Day!)
If you want to work with me sooner than that, we have options. First, you can get on the waitlist and occasionally a client needs to reschedule their service, so I may reach out to my waitlist sooner to fill that spot. If you really truly do not want to wait, you’ll have an opportunity to jump the line if you want to sign up for a VIP Day.  The first step is to get on the waitlist.

  5. What’s a VIP Day?
I’m glad you asked! A VIP Day ($950) is a single-day, 6-hour intensive where we either nail down your story structure with story planning or get a jumpstart on your revision, and a solid plan in place to tackle it. I only offer a handful of VIP Days each year. You can reach out to me here if you’re interested in learning more about a VIP Day.

My new novel, A Singing Bird Will Come, would not be out in the world today without the guidance and brilliance of my book coach, Heather Garbo…her insights truly helped me see my book in a new light. Thank you, Heather, for your honesty and support. I couldn’t have done this without you.

Heather's experience and guidance was exactly what I needed as I started my journey as an author. Not only are her methods tried, true and impactful, but her ability to be a supportive sounding board throughout our process together made a world of difference in my confidence and my writing. … I would recommend Heather to anyone ready to take the leap. I know I couldn't have done it without her.
